Hand and soft edge appliqué. Background covered with soft fine tulle to mute the colors. This was inspired by a picture, the minute I saw it I knew I had to capture it in fabric.

Baltimore Christmas

55" by 55"

Done in the style of the Baltimore Album quilts of the 1840s. Hand appliquéd and quilted. This was the time of very fancy appliqué with folded roses, ruche flowers, broderie perse and inking.
